Mary-Lou Weisman Kicks Off "Meet the Writers"

Manhattanville College's Spring Meet the Writers Literary Series will take place on Sunday afternoons at 3:00pm in Reid Castle. The series begins on March 18, 2007 with a reading by noted humorist, essayist and author Mary-Lou Weisman. The series continues with readings by award-winning poets Marie Ponsot on April 15, 2007 and Eamon Grennan on May 6, 2007.
Mary-Lou Weisman's books include My Baby Boomer Baby Book, Traveling While Married, and Intensive Care: A Family Love Story. Her essays, articles, interviews and reviews have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, Newsweek and Vogue.
My Baby Boomer Baby Book is divided into numerous short chapters with headings that parody traditional baby books, such as "My Playpen" and "When I Grow Up" for Boomers to record their passage into a different phase of life.
"Meet the Writers" literary events are free and open to the public.
