Poet Marie Ponsot

On October 17 at 7:00 pm, esteemed poet Marie Ponsot will read selections from her work. A winner of the Phi Beta Kappa medal, the Robert Frost Poetry Award and the National Book Crtics Circle Award, Ponsot has written several collections of poetry.
These include Beat Not the Poor Desk, co-authored with Rosemary Deen, The Bird Catcher and Springing: New and Selected Poems. She has taught graduate poetry courses at New York University and Columbia University, and English at Beijing United University and Queens College in New York.
This event takes place in the castle and is free of cost. Those interested in Manhattanville’s Master of Arts in Writing Program may attend a brief info session prior to the reading beginning at 6:15 p.m.
