Helpful Hints
The following tips are provided to make use of media easier and more effective. They are not guarantees, though useful for requesting equipment.
- Equipment is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be scheduled only after an online form is received.
- Be sure to fill out the Media Equipment Request form completely before submitting it to us.
Pay special attention to the location, date(s), and time(s) you need the equipment and where you will be using it.
Your order will be processed faster if we do not need to contact you for this information. - Plan Ahead. The demand for equipment increases as the semester progresses.
Planning ahead and ordering early are keys to getting the equipment you need. - Some classrooms have fixed TV/VCR/DVD equipment installed.
Please check with the registrar or visit your classroom prior to making equipment requests. - In classrooms with fixed equipment, including Smart Classrooms, test-run your videos before showing them.
Audio quality on some videocassettes and special features on some DVDs can be problematic. - To guarantee your equipment is delivered in a timely manner, we strongly urge you to submit it at least 48 hours in advance.
- If you decide that you do not need the equipment that you ordered, please call us at x3154 as far in advance as possible to cancel your request.
- If you need equipment training, we will gladly meet with you to practice until you feel comfortable. Please call to schedule an appointment.
