After graduation, Jeanne taught in the Wappingers Central School District, Gayhead School, Hopewell Junction. After getting married, she and her husband  moved to Rockland County, and she began working in the South Orangetown Central School District where she became a team leader at Tappan Zee Elementary on a mixed grade (4-5)team.

She then took a hiatus of several years to raise three sons. For three years, she worked at St. Augustine's School in New City teaching a gifted program and grades 4,5 and 6. She returned to South Orangetown, Cottage Lane School, to teach grade 5 and later grade 4. She was on many committees including the Building Liaison Committee, Social Studies Curriculum Committee, Language Arts Literacy Committee and was on the teacher and principal interview committees over many years.

Currently she is the liaison to George Washington Elementary in White Plains which is a Partnership Development School (PDS) and a supervisor of student teachers.
