FINANCIAL AID FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
To apply for Federal Stafford loans, you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid as well as our Manhattanville Graduate Financial Aid Form. Before you begin FAFSA on the Web, visit www.pin.ed.gov and apply for a PIN. Your PIN number will be e-mailed to you, provided you submitted your e-mail address.
Once your PIN is received, you may complete the FAFSA on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Our Department of Education Federal School code is 0027600. A copy of the Manhattanville Graduate Financial Aid application may be downloaded from our website here or obtained from our office. Kindly complete and submit to the Financial Aid Office.
Since processing your FAFSA may take several weeks, we recommend filing electronically well in advance of your intended registration date. Waivers against Federal Stafford loan proceeds are only granted to matriculated students whose FAFSA, Manhattanville Financial Aid Form, Entrance Form and Master Promissory Note are on file.
You may be required to submit copies of your Federal Income Tax Returns and W-2 Forms. Please be certain to make copies of these documents before mailing to the IRS. Please DO NOT send copies of these documents to the Financial Aid Office unless you are asked.
In order to receive your Federal Stafford loan, you must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and an Entrance Form. You may complete your MPN on-line at www.hesc.com and your Entrance Form on-line at www.mapping-your-future.org. Eligibility for your Stafford loan requires that you register for a minimum number of credits per semester in order to qualify. Please note the minimum number of credits per semester for your program below:
MA: Teaching/ MP/ MA: Liberal/ MAW/ PHYS.ED./ MS-Sports Business Management-5 credits per semester.
MS:HR/ Leadership/ Communications/ International Business- 3 credits per quarter

New York State TAP- Tuition Assistance Program
Full-time (12+ credits per semester). All TAP recipients must be matriculated in an approved program.
To renew or apply for a TAP Grant, complete your FAFSA as early as possible. MAKE SURE that if you reside in New York State you indicate NY as your state of legal residence on your FAFSA. FAFSA data is sent to New York State Higher Education Services Corporation or (HESC). An electronic email will be sent regarding an award status.

Scholarships (School of Education)
Merit based scholarships are offered to new graduate students for their first semester of graduate coursework only. Students must register for six or more credits to be eligible and the amount of the scholarship is based on the number of credits taken. Scholarships are awarded based on cumulative undergraduate GPA only and are factored from every undergraduate college/university attended.
Merit Scholarship: 3.2 – 3.49 GPA
President’s Scholarship: 3.5 – 3.69 GPA
Board of Trustees Scholarship: 3.7 – 4.0 GPA
Additionally, students who have completed their Bachelors Degree at Manhattanville will be considered for the Alumni Scholarship. The scholarship is good for each semester the student is enrolled in nine credits or more of graduate coursework. To be eligible for the Alumni Scholarship, a student must apply to the Graduate School of Education, meet program eligibility and be accepted.

FastWeb allows users to create their own scholarship mailbox. Also a free service FastWeb relies on advertising revenue from its site to support itself. - CASHE (http://www.cashe.com)
CASHE is a FREE Scholarship Service to help students pay for their education. It is one of the most comprehensive, oldest and most respected services for students. This service is provided by SallieMae and many fine sponsors. CASHE does not sell or rent student information, nor does the website contain intrusive advertising. - GoCollege (http://www.gocollege.com)
This valuable tool allows the entry of a student's personal and academic information. Parents and other non-students will be entering information as well. Once entered, the scholarship search engine searches the database, of more than 8,000 funding sources comprised of more than 600,000 individual awards, and selects those matching the student's profile. It provides each funding source's eligibility requirements, due dates, number of awards, award amounts, and contact information. - MACH 25 (http://www.collegenet.com/)
