How do I apply for New York State Certification?
If you are completing a Manhattanville degree, pick up, complete and return an “Intent to Graduate” Form to the Graduate Advising Office in the School of Education. Once you have been cleared for graduation and all certification requirements have been met, the Office Of Certification will send your recommendation to the New York State Education Department electronically.
After that recommendation has been uploaded, you will need to apply directly on the New York State Ed Department website for your certification. You will receive information about this process, along with detailed instructions, with your graduation materials but additional assistance is available upon request.
Your certificate will be mailed directly to your home address.
