Candidates for NCATE Accreditation must apply to the professional associations for program approval.
The School of Education has received approval for the following programs:
- Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) Childhood Education
- International Reading Association (IRA) Literacy Education
- Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC) Educational Leadership
- National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Mathematics Education
- National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Science Education
- Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Special Education
The School of Education is continuing to work for approval for the following programs:
- National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) English Education
- National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) Social Studies Education
- National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Early Childhood Education (New program)
