Undergraduate Studies
Thank you for your interest in the undergraduate programs of the School of Education at Manhattanville College.
Those applying to Manhattanville as freshmen or transfer students, as well as current Manhattanville undergraduates are encouraged to consider teaching as a career. The usual $60 application fee is waived if you Apply Online.
B.A. Education Program
Students declare a Liberal Arts major and a second major in Education. Education students pursuing a BFA choose Art Education as a minor, they do not need a second major. Education students pursuing a BMus do not require a second major or minor.
Bachelors/Masters Dual-Degree Honors Program
This is an honors degree program for students who have and maintain a GPA of 3.4. or higher. Undergraduates may take up to 15 credits toward a MAT or MPS program with these credits counting toward both degrees. Save time and money while earning a BA/MAT or BA/MPS.
Senior Start Program
Students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher can take up to 9 graduate education credits during their senior year that apply to both the undergraduate and graduate degrees.
International students should also check for additional requirements on the Manhattanville Office of International Student Servces website.
International students interested in graduate programs should also see the graduate international admissions page.
After being accepted into Manhattanville, students may choose Education as a second major. This combination of a liberal arts major and education coursework is very much in keeping with New York State's latest certification requirements, as well as national trends in Teacher Education. Additionally, New York certified teachers can be readily certified in many other states under an interstate agreement.
